NEW BRAUNFELS-Former U.S. Ambassador Bob Krueger and his wife, former New Braunfels Mayor Pro-tem Kathleen Krueger on Wednesday announced their endorsement of Sylvia Romo for Congress in the newly-configured 35th Congressional District.

Romo, the Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector and former member of the Texas House of Representatives, said she was honored to accept Krueger’s endorsement.

“He’s been one of the strongest and most able servants in the history of our state. I am committed to working with leaders like him to make sure the future is bright for the citizens of District 35,” Romo said.

“Sylvia Romo has distinguished herself by her willingness to work for the good of all citizens, whatever their party, in providing admirable public service. Congress needs members who put the people first, ahead of partisan or personal concerns,” said Bob Krueger who served in both the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.

“Ms. Romo is a down-to-earth public servant who combines courtesy with creativity. It is clear that her heart and her mind are always focused on the people she represents. I really like her,” said Kathleen Krueger.

“This new congressional seat deserves a new outlook and a new voice in Washington. Those living in the congressional district whom she will represent will be encouraged by the long-standing service that Sylvia Romo has given to the people of Bexar County.
